NFL players are coming BACK to college football?!
The college football eligibility chaos has reached a completely new level.
A Louisiana court granted a temporary restraining order allowing a group of Class of 2022 athletes to regain a fifth season of eligibility and, critically, allowing the affected players to enter the transfer portal. That has opened the door for players who had already signed with NFL teams to potentially return to college.
And LSU head coach Lane Kiffin is taking advantage of it.
Former Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright, who was in Cleveland Browns camp, entered the transfer portal and reportedly has an agreement to join LSU after being waived by Cleveland. Wright would be the first player to go from signing with an NFL team back to college football.
But he’s not the only player involved.
Former LSU/Florida edge rusher Jack Pyburn, former Ole Miss defensive lineman Zxavian Harris, former Ole Miss defensive back Wydett Williams Jr., former SMU running back TJ Harden, former Oregon State running back Anthony Hankerson, and others are among the players affected by the Louisiana ruling.
Now college coaches are asking a HUGE question:
Should an NFL player be allowed to come back and take a roster spot from a player who never left college?
